I need to make a large quantity of hot dog "cupcakes". I have twinkie baking pans and will use them and yellow cake. It's the decorating that's kinda stumping me. I don't want to make cupcakes and put "hot dogs" on top. I want the little cakes to look like hot dogs.

Any ideas would be more than welcome!!!!

Neat idea! I would bake the 'twinkie' yellow cakes and cut a groove along the 'bun'. I would use a giant circle tip to pipe a 'hotdog' of buttercream along the groove. Then you can decorate with relish, chilli, whatever! Sounds cute!

I second Erin's idea. They sound adorable - can't wait to see pics!

If you look on Bakerella's website, she has a hamburger and fries Father's Day idea. You could do something similar with a hot dog.
