I have looked at several tiered cakes and they look much larger than mine. In order to get that "large" tier per layer look, does one stack 2 cakes the same size to obtain the look?

I only made 1 recipe of 14", 10" and 6" and I did not get the professional "large" look. I did cut the cake in half and filled but still no success.

Thank you.

Yes, 2 full size layers stacked will get you the 4-4 2/2" tall cakes. You can also split each 2" layer and add filling to end up with 4 layers of cake and 3 layers of filling!

I think that is what they do sometimes. I know they will also torte and fill 2 cakes each size to make one taller layer, too. Hope this helps!
