I was asked for a chocolate cake, white icing, pink butterfly. No flowers, just simple. This is what I made ... I think it needs something .. but do not know what other than flowers or something that makes it not so BLAH. But something the "customer" won't say .. I did not want that. Help!!

And the butterflies are made from white chocolate in a mold ( tinted some pink) My royal icing ones did not turn out the way I wanted .. so i went with this.

you could make a few swirls around where the big butterfly is, like a little jet stream or like a spring kinda thing.

Sparkles did add more. But I'm in agreement with swirls.

Thanks everyone! I will try the swirls .. like wind swept ones under the butterflies? I would add more butterflies, but they only wanted pink & I think it will overdo the pink on it if I add more of them. If I could do a different color that would be good, but I can't. Thanks for all the replies!!

How about shadowing or lining the butterflies with a darker shade of pink to add some dimension.
