Hi - I just recently ordered 10 lbs. of ivory Satin Ice for a wedding cake. The first bucket was fine and rolled out nicely. The second bucket was dry and had no stretch. I couldn't use it and had no backup. I had to just buttercream the 2 bottom tiers. I wasted 2 hours trying to correct the fondant which made me a little late for the delivery of the cake and...no fondant on bottom tiers. I want to make sure this doesn't happen again.
Can anyone tell me what to add to this fondant with these problems. I am...yes...a "newbie". Thanks for your help.

Try warming the bad fondant very slightly, in small batches, and kneading in small amounts of glycerin. Maybe even a little bit of water might help.

Let the company know what you received. They need to know and might be willing to compensate you in some way.
