In the process of making a batch of MFF and my Kitchen Aide Mixer just burned on me icon_cry.gif

Can I use my hand mixer will it work?
This is my first time makign MFF and I am making it ahead of time for a cake on sunday how do I store it?

Thanks and please help..

I've only made MFF once, but I believe Michele's recipe says do not try to use a hand mixer. I don't know that you could do it by hand, so you might have to switch to MMF instead.

If you are going to use it this weekend, just keep it double wrapped in plastic wrap and then in a ziplock bag.

No way could you make any type of fondant with a hand mixer, they just don't have anything near enough power.

Go ahead & try it by hand - mix it up with a wooden spoon till it gets firm enough to knead, and then go for it - but be ready for a workout, I'm sure!

yeah, be ready for a workout if you do it by hand! lol Sorry for your blowout! Don't try to use the hand mixer, either do it by hand or do mmf. Good luck!
