Hi Everyone,

I'm brand new to this site! I just started the Wilton Course last week. I have a friend who would like me to make the following two cakes for the end of June. I told him as I had just started I would do it for a reduced price (trying to get lots of practice!) What do you people think a reasonable but reduced/fair price would be. Also would I just use a stencil for Betty?

in this kind of case, a lot of people just charge for ingredients. its up to you if you want to charge something for your time. (there are legal issues over charging at all - but there are already lots of firey posts regarding that!)
the betty boop one doesnt look too bad, just some pipng, or you could do a fbct. you can use a colouring in picture as a help - should be something on google.
the 40 is a bit trickier, covering an odd shape with fondant isnt easy - especially if you havent worked with fondant before? you can probably hire the number pans, or else do a bit of carving on a square/ rectangle to make the 4.
xx
