I'm drawing a blank on this! A friend of mine wants me to make cupcakes for her daugher's baby shower. The theme is red, white and blue. Dad is over in Iraq. Any suggestions?

Little bitty babies wrapped in little bitty flags on top of the cupcakes...

You could ice some of the cupcakes in blue, some in red, some in white. You could make little baby rattles (out of gumpaste or chocolate), binkies, blankets, a onezie, a pair of shoes. Anything like that to go on top of the icing.

You could make a star look like a baby in a diaper (the five points of the star become the legs, arms, and head of the baby).

I also like the idea of doing traditional baby things (bibs, booties, rattles, onezies, teddy bears) but with red-white-and-blue stars-and-stripes designs on them.
