Hi, i'm looking for a WHITE crusting cream cheese frosting. Has anyone used hi-ratio shortening in place of butter? I saw a post for decorators cream cheese frsting however a search turned up nothing. Any suggestions? Thanx.
I don't put that much butter on mines. I use Edna's recipe by substituting half of the butter with shortening. Shortening is also a main ingredient for her recipe. It isn't white but its workable and tasty.
