i am new to decorating and love it. getting some orders from paying customers. please look at my pics & let me know what you think. I need all good and bad critisim I can get. Thanks for your input in advance.

You've got a good start icon_smile.gif Please take this as constructive suggestions: try to get your b'cream icing smoother. Let it crust (usually about 15-20 minutes) then smooth with a paper towel or clean typing/copier paper.
Other than that you are well on your way to some fun orders.

thanks for the comments. kakeladi: I have tried the paper towel thing to get bc smoother, but never has worked for me. maybe i am not waiting long enough. I will try again though. I want to make the best cakes I can. I enjoy it too much for them not to be perfect. Plus....the better my cakes get the more $$$ I get. Thanks again.

Good start! I think the basket cake looks really nice. I agree with kakeladi with the buttercream. Maybe try switching to a different recipe, maybe that will help make things smooth.
