I love Sugarshack icing. But my stand mixer is broken! Can I use my hand help mixer? I have a sheet cake due Saturday for graduation. Cannot afford to buy a new mixer.

not sure what sugarshack icing is but i have never in my life used a standup mixer. i make my own everything witht he hadn mixer and it works great.

I make sugarshack's buttercream and have only used a stand mixer and it is pretty taxing on it. I've burned up a hand mixer in the past making Wilton's buttercream. I would be scared to make any shortening based buttercream using a hand mixer unless it is a very heavy duty one.
