Hello all,
I just wanted to jump in here. I've been reading your posts for the last several days. The cake disasters had me splitting my sides (which I needed after fighting with fondant, trying to cover a helmet). Can you give me some opinions about this cake I just finished? I can take whatever criticisms you can dish out. This was my first attempt with MMf and with any type of fondant for that matter. I've been doing straight buttercream cakes for some time, but played with fondant (Wilton) and HATED the taste so I never tried to cover a cake with it. I know that pricing questions are kind of taboo, but can you give me an estimate of what you would charge for this type of cake? ( I charged $140 for it, the lady was so happy with it she gave me $160) It is all edible except for the face masks which I purchased at Academy for 11.99 a piece.
