I am new to decorating but I have to admit that I am getting better. Last night I made a box cake using sugarshacks "boxes and bows" dvd. It came out ok...some of the strips were not even but I think it wasnt too noticable. This was a 6 inch wasc with banana filling, covered in ganache and then covered in chocolate fondant. How much would you guys charge for a cake like this...it did take a couple of days doing the panel, strips and bow. I was thinking about $85, even though I really think I should charge at least $100

I'm right in the middle of making one of the cakes from that DVD (the open box lid cake) and I'd say you can go for the $100. It does take a few days to put these together and I know for the one I am doing given the amount of gumpaste for the lid I'd charge extra. Yours turned out very nice!

Thanks pudwick...they are very time consuming but they come out nice when completed. Any one else out there with some suggestions.....???
