I am new to decorating but I have to admit that I am getting better. Last night I made a box cake using sugarshacks "boxes and bows" dvd. It came out ok...some of the strips were not even but I think it wasnt too noticable. This was a 6 inch wasc with banana filling, covered in ganache and then covered in chocolate fondant. How much would you guys charge for a cake like this...it did take a couple of days doing the panel, strips and bow. I was thinking about $85, even though I really think I should charge at least $100

I'm right in the middle of making one of the cakes from that DVD (the open box lid cake) and I'd say you can go for the $100. It does take a few days to put these together and I know for the one I am doing given the amount of gumpaste for the lid I'd charge extra. Yours turned out very nice! thumbs_up.gif
