i have managed to conquer the issues of attaching ribbon to cakes and keeping the ribbon from getting grease spots, but there is one last issue i have yet to figure out... how do you put satin ribbon on a square BC cake without crushing the corners?

does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this problem? we all work so darn hard to get those straight edges only to have them smooshed! the last one i tried to do without messing up the edges ended up being too loose with large gaps between the cake and the ribbon. thank you for your help!!

The last one I did, I measured and then ironed a crease into it where the corners are for a "custom fit". Worked pretty good. HTH

I agree about the ironing.
