I am making green palm tree leaves this evening. I am a NEWBIE....in every sense of the word.

I kneaded my fondant green and made all my leaves...realizing I forgot to knead in my tylose!!!!!

Will my fondant (satin ice) still dry hard? Don't need these until Friday.

Thanks!

hmmmm when i first started in fondant, i made all my roses out of it and also gum paste, fondant for me takes a long time to dry, and it will pull down if you keep it standing up. i just made elmo with gum paste with fondant and he is a little bottom heavy, they won't be dry like gum paste i think they will be fine, be sure and prop the way you want them to be i just noticed you said friday, all i can say is watch them because if they are tall they will bend, so tomorrow you might want to make them over. or use toothpicks or tiny dowels. wish you luck

Friday is probably enough time for them to harden. I use marshmallow fondant and it seems to harden equally well whether it has tylose in it or not (but not as well as real gumpaste).
