I am going to attempt to make a suitcase cake for a friend. I need ALL the advice I can get. I have no idea how to even start this. I have NEVER used fondant to cover a whole cake before so I am a little nervous.
Any pointers would be SO helpful. From shaping it the right way and what size pan should I do.....to making it look like a real suitcase. I found this awesome photo of a cake but have NO idea how to make it look like that.

Can anyone help me????

Hm...well I would imagine it's just a sheet cake with the edges shaved down to look rounded. And it looks to me like the fondant is painted brown. Although it could just as easily be kneaded in, but not completely, which gives it the worn look.

If you enter suitcase in the search bar of this site, there are several versions done by other cc members. Then you can contact the creator of your favorite cake for help!
