I will be making my first cookies with fondant on them. How far in advance can I make them without the fondant getting too hard or the cookie???? thanks.

I usually do my cookies say wednesday bake and frost let them set out 1 day to dry , then by friday you can wrap them. Once wrapped I'm asumming they should last quite a while since they will be wrapped. not sure mine never last that long....hope this helps icon_biggrin.gif

I usually try to get mine done within five days, bake on Monday, bagged and ready to use by Friday, or sooner, if you can. I do not let mine lay out for more than five or six hours, then I layer between wax paper in a container. When I get them all decorated, I bag. You can make them whenever you want, they freeze well, fully decorated with fondant. HTH
