I am just looking for some tips on how to get some consistency in the texture of my MFF when adding dark colors such as black or red. I made black one time that turned out beautifully - pliable and soft, but when I made some dark blue the other day, it was so dry and teary, like dry cookie dough, and I could not get the consistency back to what it should be. Both times I added the color into the liquid mixture before adding the powedered sugar. Is there a trick to getting it to stay soft and smooth with no tearing when you roll it out? I'd appreciate any and all tips or info! Thanks!!
If it's crumbly, try adding glycerin (small amounts at a time).
