I just found out that they screwed up my order and I won't get it in time for the cake now!!! What can I do? How can I make black fondant and buttercream easily? Oh, and I can't use cocoa powder because they don't want choc. flavor! HELP PLEASE!!

you can add black gel coloring to brown fondant. at first it will look like a deep dark brown color, but it will look black once the color has time to set. if you start out with chocolate fondant it is easier, but i have seen someone suggest coloring white fondant brown and then adding black.

I can tell you how to do it with marshmallow fondant. When you melt the marshmallows and water, stir in the black coloring and mix well. Then add the powdered sugar. When you add the color that way, it doesn't get crumbly or too soft.
