Shipping Cake Balls

Has anyone tried to ship Cake Balls? What is your method?

I've mailed them to family members several times. Most times they are boxed and then put in another box to mail adn surrounded with lots of shredded paper. . Cooler weather I made a chocolate bowl or plate and wrapped/packed on it. I've sent them priority each time and have had no problems.

What do you use as your binding agent? I usually use coffee creamer, but that would need to be refrigerated.

I use a buttercream icing (Earlene's with cream cheese). I've also used regular buttercream. Hope this helps.
