Can Michele Foster's Chocolate Fondant Be Tinted Maroon?

I use Michele Foster's fondant and I have made a chocolate version. But can I tint it maroon or paint it sliver? My aunt wants chocolate fondant in either one of those colors.

I don't really have an answer for you, but thought I'd give you a bump. I have tinted MFF red and black with mixed results so I would also like to know a fail proof way to get those dark colors using MFF.
