I am planning to make my son's wedding cake in September. They want a turquoise fondant covered cake with large sunflowers. I have made small gumpaste flowers so I will be learning this summer. How far in advance can you make gumpaste flowers and how do you store them. Also any ideas on how to make the turquoise color?

GP flowers can be made many months in advance if you live in a dry area.
Humidity will soften them and cause them to wilticon_sad.gif
As for the color.......many brands of food coloring offer turquoise ready to use.
