ok kids... i am assembling my first HUGE wedding cake on site today. knees a shakin'... forehead a sweatin'

i feel VERY good about how the cakes turned out, but this is my first time for sps pillars and using tiers (i usually stack)

the cake sizes are as follows... base is a 16 and 14 inch round stacked... then pillars... then a 12 inch round... then pillars... then a 10 inch round.

Here's the question... would you do the top set of pillars shorter than the bottom set???

I am going to try and attach a pic, i took with my phone at the shop yesterday, so you get an idea of the floral on top (that i have to mimic around pillars... suggestions welcome here too) and the design.

You are all so wonderful.... thanks in advance for any input!

I would do the top shorter yes. I just think it looks better, but to eacn their own. It also might add more stability to the cake too. The cake is BEAUTIFUL!!! Post a finished picture so we can see it icon_smile.gif
