Doctoring White Cake Mix

Hiall. I use DH white cake mix, I want to add an egg and 1 box of pudding (which is about 3 oz.). White mixes call for 2 Tblsps of oil. Do you add more oil because of the extra added ingredients? Does the pudding make the cake sweeter than without it; if I use sugar free pudding (which is only 1 oz. ) should I use three boxes? TIA

(Some use pudding mix, some don't.)

What are you trying to achieve by adding pudding mix? Depth of flavor can be increased by simply adding more flavoring or extract.

A cake recipe with too much sugar, fat and/or leavening will sink. icon_sad.gif
