I am new to the site, and new to baking.. I recently received a KA mixer.. and have been wanting to make cakes and learn how to decorate them!
I have tried a couple different recipes for buttercream icing/frosting...but nothing tastes what I want.. I want the stuff you get at your local grocery store/sams club/walmart bakerys... the really sweet one.. if anyone knows of any good recipes id love to try them!!! thank you!

I use this recipe for the birthday parties for children.

3 ounces of margarine
4 cups pouder sugar 10X
1 tbs of white vanilla
1/4 cup milk
1 tbs corn syrup Karo white

Whip margarine with 1 cup of sugar and vanilla, until is very clear, then add the rest of sugar and milk until is the consistencia you want to spread your cake Cover with plastic wrap . You can color as you want If you can chocolated frosting add 1/2 cup of unsweeted cocoa powder.
