Can someone help me with cutting in half Antonia74 Royal Icing. I am not good with figuring this out.

6 oz (3/4 cup) of warm water
5 Tablespoons meringue powder
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 kilogram (2.25 lbs.) powdered icing sugar

How many cups for the powder sugar, I have it in a big jar, so I am not sure how much is a pound.

Thank you so much

Michele

Here's a reference chart for sugar:

So that looks like 9 cups of confectioner's sugar to me.

I bought a digital scale and have been weighing flour and conf. sugar for recipes. It seems much more exact than scoop measuring.
