Both these cakes are great! I like the glittery effect of the top one, and the swag work on the bottom one. Both did an amazing job on the roses!

Good luck to both contestant. Both are worthy cakes made by skilled artists. The one I voted for was chosen purely based on my own personal style preference.

They are both beautiful...and very similar, so it's hard to choose. The only reason I;m leaning towards #2 is the composition of the cake. The triangular silhouette is more streamlined. Just a quirk of mine, but as I said...they are both so pretty....

They both have their good points. The roses look more natural on one and I like the balance of color. The other has a lot of good qualities when taken seprately but a little over the top when put all together.

Please don't get offended it is just my prefrence and one opinion, my work is nowhere close to yours. I would certainly eat both of them!!! Good luck to you both

Contestant B's roses are more realistic and she/he added leaves which i like. But the borders are simmplisic. However contestant a's style on the fondant is really pretty, top flowers are nice but a bit too many in the middle- makes me think "whats being hidden..Still a hard choice. icon_rolleyes.gif

Love them both. I think using the impression mat won me over, though.

These are my favorite style cakes - 10 and 6 inch and I always go for cakes with roses. I picked "A" as I thought it was beautiful and I loved the pearls and the paisley imprint on the fondant.
