My girlfriend asked me if I could make cupcakes for her daughter's girl scout troop - they are earing their daisy badges. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should do this? I was thinking that I would pipe the Daisy petals with royal icing in each of the different colors. I'm open for other suggestions. Thanks!

daisy scout colors would be blue (bright royal) white and yellow. Daisy Scouts earn petals in pink (light), fushia, purples, oranges, green (limeish) around a blue center. You can see pics of daisy insignia at girlscouts.org

this time of year they're probably getting ready to bridge to brownies, they'll earn their wings (gold with brown trim) as the "fly up"

What if you made the cupcake with a cute little swirl and then used a fondant cutter and made a little daisy.

Something like this. http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1306287
