I'm about to attempt (ok, not until next month, but I want to be prepared) my second topsy turvy cake. The first attempt was for the same customer, only it fell before I even got it together....one year later, and I'm ready to try again
My question is whether or not I can fill my layers with anything except buttercream. I usually use mousse, but think that's why it fell last time. Does anyone ever fill their topsy turvy's???
i just did my first topsy turvy cake and I filled it with a peanut butter filling and it was fine! Im not sure about other kinds of filling though, i havent experimented too much ..
Hmmm, thanks for the reply! That would probably be even better at holding everything together than buttercream....maybe I'll try a ganache...
