Shanna_bananna - this is a cake shaped as a cupcake, not an actual cupcake (it's huge - bakes like a cake).
Start checking it around 30 minutes and keep checking evey 5-10 after that. It can go from done to desd very fast! I know - I've done it. My nieces and nephews love it, otherwise I'd keep away from making it since it's such a pain to bake.
