I've never used the bright white food coloring....
I have a maple flavor icing (and the color is naturally beige).. If I use bright white food color, Will i have a really white icing?

It will lighten the icing a bit, but not a lot. At least, that's been my experience. Sometimes when I've colored my icing and it's been too dark, I'll add a small amount of the brite white. It just tones it down a little.
