My peony turned out SO well!!! I'm so thrilled!!! See it here!

ETA: My apologies to all the rest of you. I was more just joking to Tita, I really am not looking for any special kuddos!!!

But the story behind this is funny... The guy says to me "Can you do it?" and I say "Of course!" and I get off the phone and asked my DH "What the heck is a peony???"

You almost made me choke on a Snickers! You're a total goofball.

At least you added a story.

People, people, people...Please don't create a thread and all you're doing is posting a picture of a cake you've done. It's like false advertising! There's a place to put your photos and you shouldn't use the forums to get them seen.

Now, if you have a picture of something that introduces a new technique, a way to do something, a disaster or what "not to do" and you use the photo as an example, then that's understandable. I'm just having a hard time (and I can't be the only one) with people who create forums that say "My 1st Monkey Cake" and all they have in the topic is a link to a picture that's in their photo's. It's so irritating. That's not what the forums are for.

Sorry to hijack mommyle...oh, who am I kidding...no I'm not.

Mommyle - I know this was at Tita - but dang - that's really cool - great idea to turn the whole cake into a peony....

Awww... Thanks guys...

SamyX, I bought peony cutters from EBay. Cut out the petals, dry in the flower formers, and then I used green modeling chocolate for the leaves, so that they could come up the sides and help stablize the petals. Super easy!
