Hi Im new to Cake Central, I am interested in starting up a cake business from home initially, and looking for some advice! Has anyone done this before???
Tough in todays economy, but if you have a good product enough capital and patience it can be done!
I started with my cousin out of his home kitchen 21 years ago. We baked out of his kitchen for 2 years, then moved to the location we are at now.
3 years ago he was looking to sell, so I bought it and I opened my second location a year ago.
It's tough, but it can be done if you have the drive!
Good luck!
First you would want to find out if it is legal to have a home bakery depending on where you are in the states. Here is a link that can point you in the right direction.

If you are in Canada

And you should definitely check out the business forum as well. It has lots of good advice!!
