I am supposed to make a little fondant tea set that sits on a six inch cake that looks like a table. I found some great pics in the gallery, and pm'd the decorators over a week ago, and haven't heard back from any of them!

It's due on Tuesday. I don't have trouble with the teapot, but I can't make the teacups, plates, spoons, etc. I'm also trying to make a little vase of flowers, and a little cake and plate of cookies or scones.

Then I want to paint a little design on everything. Does anyone have any instructions for this? I'm going crazy and my husband's getting annoyed with my griping.

Any tips you have will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! icon_biggrin.gif

I am by far a cake expert but I am very famliar with clay and moulding things. I have made many tiny tea sets from clay and I have used small styrofoam balls cut n half to make the cups. I let them set and then add the handle. You could try this with gumpaste as well.

Have you watched Aine2's tutorials on youtube?

Here is a pic of one of her table settings

Here is a link to her youtube tutorials, I'm pretty sure she has one for the miniature teaset

I hope this helps you.

This flickr site (Zalita) doesn't have any instructions, but her gumpaste work is amazing. Look for the picture entitled "English Tea Party".[email protected]/3253240770/
