Hey guys, i wanted to try one of those potted plant cakes but im kinda confused on how I would get the flower to stand up without falling over. Any ideas would be great! Here is the one id like to make for my sisters bday:

Floral wire? I think they sell the food safe wire too, not sure.

Make the flowers on a wooden skewer, dowel or on wire. If you use wire, put a drinking straw into the cake, trim to where it's level with the top of the cake, and put the wire in that. You can put a little fondant in the straw to keep the wire from moving around.

I haven't made a cake like that but I made a big tree on a cake before, and the middle of it was dowels, with one longer one extending down into the cake, and it stood up just fine.
