I am about to try a fruit filling for the first time this next week. I have never done anything but buttercream or pudding in the middle of the layers. I have a couple of questions:

1. For a WASC, what types of fillings have you used and what is your favorite?

2. I'm leaning towards doing a raspberry type filling but am wondering how to do it. Do I just buy Rasberry preserves and put it in or do I tweak it somehow?

Thanks agains for your help!!!!! I have learned so much from this site!!!!

I've done raspberry preserves, it was good. I've also mixed raspberry preserves with buttercream.

I have done fresh raspberries cooked with heavy cream and a little cornstarch, but the best is your buttercream mixed with some fresh mashed raspberries
