I am finishing up a skateboarding cake. I have planned the details and piping in black buttercream with black pearls. I am going to finish it tomorrow morning and deliver it on my way out around noon. They are serving it Friday.

Will it bleed into my white icing? I am going to add some piping gel to get the consistency I want so will that help or hurt it?

I thin my black icing with a little corn syrup for piping details. I have piped it onto a white buttercream that has crusted, and I have never had any problems. I have never tried with piping gel. Keeping the cake refrigerated should help. I wouldn't think it would bleed unless it were starting to melt.
