Ok, so this is a little white fluffy dog that I want to put on the top of a round cake that has a dog house on the top. This is for a good friend of mine for his Birthday. He is huge animal lover and I wanted to put the Bichon on the top and cats around the bottom.

The delima is how to make gumpaste or fondant look furry?

I have NO clue! Any Suggestions???

I would add a picture, but the website does not want me to...I get no pop-up.

I made my parents' poodle for a retirement cake and just textured it with a skewer.
I don't think it has to necessarily be furry to resemble the animal though.

Also, I made a bunch of poodles for a cake for my daughter and use a garlic press. That would probably work. You can check them out in my photos.
