I am embarking on my first wedding cake/grooms cake journey, as we speak. I am very organized, I am not stressing (does it sound like I am trying to convince myself of that?), I seem to have everyhting I need, and am ready to go.

Going to be cooling and freezing, and baking and decorating my little heart out for the next four days.

I have been readin CC a lot lately, printing out threads that I need. So thank you to all for sharing thoughts, ideas, experience, and lessons.

I am treating each and every tier as its own cake and using the SPS system to stack. I learned it all from ya'll. Super excited and just wanted to share.

I am not legal, so don't go there because I am not charging, already verified with vendor that this was okay. These cakes are for my dear friends as a gift. I love CC.

The snare drums are each resting on small plastic disks the are screwed onto the dowel. My hubby found these disks in the electrical section of Lowes. I think they are used to cover unused electrical boxes or the mount something on. Not too sure .

Yay!! Thanks guys. At one point I wanted to pick it all up and throw it against the wall and quit. Glad I didn't. Now I have finished my first wedding cake and can breath again. But I am not in a huge hurry to do another one any time soon.

Those are some really great looking cakes. I love the floor for the drums. So, cool! And, the incorporation of black with your flowers sprays is great. I have an issue with using more than 2 colors...call me a wierdo. But, even the way I dress...very classic I guess. Almost always black and a color. So, the combination of several colors is always so great to me.
