Has anyone used that wood graining tool in the paint dept. for cakes ? I'm thinking it would work, but does anyone know for sure ? And would you use a base color, then dip the tool in another darker shade, or would you use it more like and impression mat ? ANY ideas would be appreciated...... THANKS !

I have one I bought at Lowes. Use it for candy clay picture frames and more recently on a b/c cake to give some texture to the top of the cake (Happy Birthday Huey) in my pics. I use it more as an impression mat and then "stain" it.

GOOD LUCK!
