I want to make some two-toned buttercream roses for a birthday cake I'm making. Is there a trick to stripping the pastry bag so that the roses come out with only the tips of the petals colored?

Thanks!

The trick is how you place your tip on the bag, not how you stripe the bag. Be sure to line the tip up so the narrow end is lined up with the stripe.
