are there any tutorials on how to make buttercream roses, i have tried making them and either the leaves are torn or the flower wilts and looks ugly i am supposed to make some for a cake this week-end and i can't seem to get it right. any help is apprieciated icon_redface.gif

Go to www.youtube.com and search buttercream roses. You will find several on there.

Sometimes it isn't your technique as much as it is your icing. I like to add some corn syrup to the buttercream, so that the edges of the petals don't look so torn. When you mix the buttercream, make sure that it's stiff enough to hold peaks, but not so stiff that you can't get it out of the bag without killing your hand.
