Hello!
I am making a fondant covered cake with twisted rope borders. How far ahead can the ropes be made and remain flexible if I lay them out on a baking sheet and cover tightly with plastic wrap?
Thanks in advance for any help!

earlene told us a trick once.

if you want to keep them soft for that long. wrap them well in plastic and then wet a a paper towel, wrap that in plastic, and lay that on top of them.

never tried it though

Well, Sharon, in honor of having watched your flawless fondant DVD last night (really), I'm adding a damp towel to the "procedure".

THANK YOU!
