Hi everybody!

Can you please verify something for me?? I read a post that fondant decorations will NOT stick to a CRUSTED buttercream cake. Also, they stated that the fondant decoratios have to be applied to the buttercream cake freshly iced, not when it is crusted????????????

OMG!! Is this correct. I never heard of this before. I have a cake that I plan on icing Saturday Night and decorating with fondant decor. on Sunday Morning due to my work schedule. I normally just use buttercream to attach the decorations on my cakes.

Any suggestions is appreciated!!

Thanks,
Mikel79

Use fresh buttercream on the backs or better yet piping gel, that stuff sticks to anything.

I did a cake with crusted buttercream and stuck fondant circles to the sides of the cake the day after I frosted it used vodka. It worked fine for me!
