Well, I am officially doing my first wedding cake and I am terrified!

I am doing a topsy turvey that is 15", 12", and 9" (might add a 6"). Well, I have been baking all day, and I got a ton of cake!

My 15" layer is 4 1/2 almost 5" and so is my 12" layer.

Does this seem a little too big? Should I cut them down a bit?

I know that I will end up cutting a lot away for the topsy look...I have just never done a cake this big.

They need to be high so when you cut the slant you still have cake..

So, am I right on with size..or do I need to go bigger?

Thanks for the response!

Well..I do mine with the tall part around that size 4 and half.. I know other people do higher, but you can see in my avatar how it looks...
It really depends on you. I usually stay with the 4 and half.
