that contractions that go on ALL DAY and spotting mean there will be a baby in the next couple days. Right? I have 2 kids but I've never just ''gone into labor'', I've always been induced because of some problem or another.

So yeah. I'm keeping my fingers crossed 'cause I can't take much more of this. icon_wink.gif

I hope you've talked to your doctor, and he says you are doing all right.

Good luck, hope it doesn't take too much longer for you to get your little one delivered and all goes well for both of you.

I always had long labor, and it does wear you out mentally and physically.

I'm no expert b/c I've only had a c-section, but it sounds like you are on the right road - the spotting sounds concerning though - you should call your doctor about that one.

Are you sure that your water hasn't broken - you know that sometimes it just drips instead of the big gush that you see on TV.

good luck!!!! YEA BABIES!!!! I'm sure that kiddo will be here really really soon!!

My sister has an almost 2 week old, and she had contractions (painful ones for a few days) for about a week and a half! Good luck to you! Hopefully it won't be much longer!

I would definitely call the doctor. Spotting is usually a sign that labor is not far off but you need to make sure it isn't a sign of other problems. And, if you have only had induced labors, let me tell you, real labor doesn't hurt as much so you could actually be in real labor. If this is number three you could go quickly and possibly be farther along in labor than you think. Let the doctor know for sure what is going on. All the best to you and congratulations! icon_biggrin.gif

He said at the appointment yesterday that spotting right now is generally normal because your blood veins rupture during dilation or something. So that doesn't worry me. I'm just a little freaked out in general.

And it's a girl icon_wink.gif

Congrats! I have had two babies and was induced both times, so I don't know about the contractions except to time them. (Those warm-up contractions are obnoxious, though, aren't they?) But I did have a little spotting for a week or so before I was induced with my son.

The hardest part is the waiting for something this exciting! Good luck to you!

I had contractions (major, could not sleep) every night for a week before I was actually admitted to the hospital. Hopefully it goes along a little faster for ya! Funnny thing is the nurses kept saying how fast my labour was, since I came in at 7 and had a baby by 11 - but they were not counting the exhausting week long contractions - which I consider labour! When people ask me I say it was 7 days long, lol.

Congrats. I've had 4 babies. All my labors started differently. There really is no need to call the doctor IMO. The baby will come when she's ready. GL

Ha. She hasn't been yet. There was all that excitement that night and we went to the hospital after hours of it, and as soon as we got there it all stopped. Doctor is pretty perplexed as well, because there haven't been hardly any contractions since then, but heartbeat and movements are still normal. Guess she just changed her mind.

I fell down the stairs last Thursday. Baby is fine, but they have to wait until the bruising in my pelvis goes down before they'll let her be born. So we're getting labor induced Sunday night (the 3rd) and she should be born sometime early Monday morning. I'll update as soon as the excitement passes.

Thanks for the concern everyone. icon_smile.gif

Isn't it just typical for a girl to make a grand entrance, nearly 3 weeks of waiting icon_lol.gif

She was well worth the wait, she's absolutely beautiful. Congrats to you and your family. I hope your both doing well.
