I just tasted meringue buttercream and I was thrilled with the taste but I wonder if I can make with it all the decorations in m cake or I am confined only to covering it. Does it stiffens enough to make roses?
My other option is to go with a buttercream that hs only butter and no shortening (we do not have crisco in my country and the one I currently uses tastes thumbsdown.gif )
Thanks for all your help!!!

Yes. I make roses with it all the time. It does not have to be stiff like the Wilton stuff to make roses.

Actually, the best roses I've done were using meringue buttercream!! I was just careful not to hold the bag all the time so it wouldn't get really warm.
