I've made the mmf several times and love the texture and taste. Is there a trick to using impressions on the fondant? Won't the design stretch when putting fondant on the cake? Do you let it harden a little first or roll out impression and put right on cake? thanks

if you let it harden first it will crack when you put it on your cake. I have yet to master it but I am getting better. icon_smile.gif You just have to work quick and pick it up just right. I have an impression roller but what I started using is more like a cookie cutter. That way I can make the design once the fondant is already on the cake.

Hope that helps. Maybe someone else will come along and be able to give you some tips on how to lift the fondant without stretching it out.

I'm going to practice making impression on cake and the rolling method. Im making my daughters wedding cake in two months so I don't want to make a mess of the designs.
Thanks for the advice
