I'm trying to make these Hello Kitty cake ball pops (from Bakerella). I need to do them for a birthday party this Saturday. Problem is, the cake keeps breaking off the stick. I don't know what I'm doing wrong? I thought maybe I made the balls a little big, so I resized them & I guess I'll see what happens. I've never made cake balls before... any advice??

I am not sure if it's in her directions or not, but I would dip the end of the stick in chocolate before placing it in the cake ball. Then I would place them in the freezer a bit to set up. When you dip the cake ball I would dip them a little past the ball so the chocolate overlaps the stick a little.
