What makes the cupcake paper burn while they are cooking? Any ideas? The cupcakes taste great but the paper looks sort of burnt and cooking them at the proper temp.

Sounds to me like it could be anything from subpar cupcake liners to drips of batter on the liner too much oil in the recipe, to using dark pans. I hate the "investigative" part of baking

What kind of liners are you using? I have never had mine burn even slightly. And how long are these cupcakes baking for ?! icon_smile.gif

Oh my! In 40+ years of baking, I've never had that happen.

That happened to me once when I left them in for too long. Maybe the temp was too high?

I've never heard of such a thing, that's odd.... I hope you figure it out soon.
