Could someone tell me how to make a dam for a half/half cake. I know it can be done rather than making two seperate cakes, cutting them and putting them together. I appreciate your help. I have a karate cake to make for a friend and they want a half choc. half white cake.

I don't use anything. I just mix up the white cake and pour it in one side of the pan and mix up the chocolate and pour in the other side. no one ever complains about one side having more, in fact , they love the middle where it is mixed. hope this helps
